A favorite of our Midwest customers.  Red currants grow in clusters like grapes and the currant leaf and grape leaves are practically identical.  The fruit acts very much like grapes in fermentation and development to wine.  The wonderful resulting wine is light, off sweet, fruit, fresh and tart.  It is the fruit’s tartness that makes it sensational as a table wine with Chicken, Turkey, and Pork.

Honeywood's Red Currant wine is by far my favorite cooking wine. It pairs wonderfully with beef, and offers a true gourmet experience.
